Superhero Comic Book Party Invitation with Free Printable! (updated 06.02.2015)

Hello there and welcome back to another great crafting adventure! Anyone with kids has gone through at least one {SUPERHERO} phase, and if you’re lucky they picked one of the classics you both can agree on! I have one that loves all the classics: Batman, Superman, Spiderman, etc. Then I have “the other one” who talks about Slug Terra and Power Rangers. I mean, I get it, kids like what they like. But Slug Terra and Power Rangers weren’t the heros of my time, so it’s a little harder buy-in for me, LOL.

So today, we kick off our three part Superhero Comic Book party series! Yippee! Be sure to keep any eye out for some pretty amazing and {FREE} printables! We start today with the invitation (fully customizable file!) and move forward to include water bottle labels, cupcake toppers and a DIY banner (no special tools required) to just name a few! You’ll have to check back every day for the rest of this week for a new surprise!

So starting off, we would like to introduce you to our Superhero Comic Book Party Invitation with Free Printable!

Isn’t it {FABBULOUS}!  I absolutely L-O-V-E how it turned out.  So where is the {FREE PRINTABLE} you say?  Well, look no further, here it is!  (Please read the instructions BEFORE downloading so you know what you are getting).

Okay, so with all good things come instructions, but these are pretty simple.  There is one question you need to ask yourself…

Do you want a full-printed invitation or do you want a printable that can be completed by hand?

This question is important because the full-printed invitation can be customised in MS Word, but some basic knowledge of Word and fonts to pull this off.  If you think this is you, here is the link to download the word file.  If you just want the free printable invitation that can be customized by hand, keep scrolling.

Superhero Invitation – MS Word File

First, don’t worry about how crazy the layout looks if you preview this in Google Docs.  The file is not really compatible with the Google Word Processor for some reason.  So, if you want to use it, please download a copy to your computer.  I used standard fonts, so it should all display correctly.  If you are having any font related issues, here are fonts I used.  They were preinstalled on my computer, so I can’t guarantee the accuracy of these download links.

Second, some of the wording has a black shadow — don’t panic, it just means that if you change it, you have to then change the black wording underneath it.

Third, after you customize this with your party information, it can be printed on any cardstock (white is best) or sent to a local printer (Office Depot, UPS Store, etc) for the best quality.  I chose to layer mine on a black cardstock backing for extra durability.

Is the overall image not the right size for you?  Resize easily by taking a screenshot (print screen function works great) and then cut out the excess screen with Paint or a photo editing software (Pixlr, PicMonkey).  You can then resize it to fit your needs.  Feel free to contact me if you need instructions for taking and editing a screen shot!

So maybe MS Word isn’t your thing, you don’t want to mess with any fonts or you just want it to be as easy as possible.  Not a problem, we have the solution for you!  Here is a free printable!  Grab a sharpie and get to work!

This is amazing! Saved me so much time! Sadly the word version did not load well on my Mac. I used the PDF one and added my own text in Photoshop. Have you considered doing a Photoshop Template also?
