Pause Dream Enjoy Creative Team Member Design Team     Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Party #12 Beach Ocean

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at Pause Dream Enjoy and what they have going on this week! And lucky you, the theme for this linky party is {AN OCEAN OF FUN!}  I just know there will be tons of cute beachy projects to oogle over!

So for our beach theme, I decided to think outside the box and offer some inspiration for some summer fun!  I’m really glued to these glass block projects, they are so fun and versatile!  And what better than a savings bank to tuck money away for a beautiful beach vacation?  Maybe a vacation isn’t quite what you have in mind, but you can stash money away for even a day-get-a-way of fun in the sun!

DIY Beach Glass Block Bank and Design Team Challenge with My Paper Craze

As with most of our crafting projects, this one was really a lot of fun.  This block was a special request from a friend of mine… one of those “maybe a bank… I like flip flops… and the beach…” type of requests {LOL}.  Fortunately, I found all of my cut files in the Silhouette Online Store and the wording is a trace of a clip art on Google Images.  Sandy Toes & Salty Kisses… seems to boil down the real meaning to life.

For supplies, all you need is a glass block, vinyl in your colors of choice and an electronic cutting machine, like a Silhouette!  Of course, you can always find vinyl designs for purchase or give your artistic eye a shot with a little paint!

One of my favorite aspects of this design is that the blue waves are actually on the back on the block to give the scene a little depth.  This was the first time I’ve tried this nifty trick and I am very happy with how it turned out!

So now that you’ve oogled over my beachy project, jump on over to Pause Dream Enjoy and see what else the Design Team has for you!  For an added bonus, check out the other link ups for even more inspiration!
