And now… for my contribution and what you all have been waiting for… DIY Sports Jersey Gift Bags!

DIY Sports Jersey Gift Bags or Favor Box by My Paper Craze

For a personal tidbit: I have two boys and a husband that are all baseball-crazy.  My husband coaches and both boys play regular baseball in the Spring and “Fall Ball” during the off season.  We spend ALL of our free time either at the baseball park or playing baseball in the back yard.  What do we do on rainy days?  Baseball on the video games, of course!  My husband even YouTube’s baseball videos.  It’s never ending!  So, of course, who is naturally chosen as the Team Mom?  That’s right, this girl right here.  Yippee (sarcastic voice, LOL).  It is a lot of fun and our team parents are great to work with, but my creative and over-indulgent side shows through my desire to turn a boy-dominant sport into crafting somehow.

So as we near the end of the season, I get to plan the end-of-season party!  And what’s a good party without at least a neat little gift to take home?  Through my search for sports-themed gift bags, I found an awesome Super Bowl Centerpiece & Football Jersey Candy Holders post from Paper Yoga that includes a {FREE} svg download for these awesome jersey bags.  I immediately knew these were the little bags I wanted to hand out to our players, regardless of the football theme.  In our league, the jerseys don’t imitate professional baseball jerseys, so these matched our uniforms perfectly with a few color changes!  It’ll also be neat to have each one personalized with their jersey numbers!  And of course, I had to throw on the glitter paper to add a little pizzazz, I’m sure they won’t mind!

I’m sure that I am way more excited about this party than any of the players, and I’m okay with that.  They’ll take the gift bag, dig all the candy and goodies out and toss it in the trash right in front of my eyes, because that’s what boys do, LOL.  But dang it, they are cute and at least the fellow Baseball Moms and I can oooohhhh over them for a few minutes.  Sometimes, it’s the small things that make all the difference.

Have a bag of your own to show off?  Don’t forget to link up over at Silhouette Challenges, the party is open through the end of the month!  Once that’s done, also hop on over to my weekly Creative Spark Link Party for even more linky fun and inspiration!

Oh Becky I sympathise, there were 4 males to 2 females in our household and it was football (soccer) every weekend and training during the week, my daughter and I still laugh about the number of hours we have huddle together in the pouring rain just to watch the boys and my husband deeply engrossed in their love of sport.
Your shirt gift boxes are the icing on the cake for the end of season party and I am sure they will last at least 3 minutes before being tossed away lol.
