Zombie Shadow Box - My Paper Craze

This was so much fun to put together as I was thinking about my zombie obsession!

1.  The very first thing I did was create a stencil of the moon shape and placed it on the glass.  I then applied etching cream to my negative stencil and let it sit for a few minutes.

2.  I used my paper trimmer to size my background sheet to fit the 10×10 frame.  Since it has a pretty standard pattern, I didn’t have to worry about much except for the creepy green top border.

3.  I cut the other shapes out of black vinyl, I just used some out of my stash (hehe).  I placed the haunted house onto the background paper to create a 3D effect.  The text, bats, zombies and ghosts are applied on the outside of the glass.

4.  Finally, I filled the box about halfway with regular candy corn.  You may have to judge this a few times to get it lined up with your zombies.

See?  EASY!

This is soooo cool! You manage to make it so colourful and cute, but there are zombies in it (and that is always awesome if you ask me!;))
I would love if you share it with my fall themed party Big Autumn Bash, so I can feature you:

    1. Becky Dykes (Post author)

Thanks so much for the invite Mila! I linked up!

  13. Liz

Do you have the dimensions that you cut each piece?

    1. Becky Dykes (Post author)

Hey Liz! The house with bats is 5×7, each ghost 1×1, moon 3×3, beware 3×1, bats on moon 2×1 as a group. It got a little bit more complicated with the zombies. I mirrored them to put them on the left side of the shadow box and I ungrouped them and rearranged them to fit my space. The size of the final grouping is 4×3.75. The tallest zombie is 1.25×2.5. Hope this helps, have fun!
