Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at Pause Dream Enjoy and what they have going on this week! And lucky you, the theme for this linky party is {KIDS!} I just know there will be tons of cute projects to oogle over!  Here is the project we prepared for your inspiration… a {FREE PRINTABLE} After School Checklist for Kids!

Free Printable After School Checklist for Kids - My Paper Craze

To start with, I designed the checklist in completely in Silhouette Studio.  I was really torn between the white and black backgrounds, so I made both!  The design is really simple and can be given a totally different look by just changing the fonts.  When I imagined a kid’s checklist, of course it had to be on old school kindergarten-style lined alphabet paper.  I wanted my title to stand out, of course, so I used the rounded rectangle tool to make the background for the title.  I then made the boxes going down the right side with the rectangle tool (filled with white) then created an offset and filled it with black to make the frame.  After all that it was just a matter of choosing what fonts I wanted to use and size the words to fit the lines.  I also made a pretty amazing discovery… did you notice the fun little images at the bottom of the page?  That’s a dingbat font — our first one!  Every letter you type gives you a different image.  How much fun is that!?!  Below is a list of the free fonts I used, all available at

You can use these printables a number of ways.  You could print them daily but ink can get expensive.  You can put it in a frame with the glass and make your checkmarks with a dry erase marker.  It will easily wipe right off.  I chose to leave the glass out of my frame and cut the squares glossy vinyl!  Works like a charm, too!
